RFIC & MMIC design

Beamforming ICs, front-ends and phase shifters — designed at transistor level and validated against the antenna they will drive.

We design integrated circuits for millimetre-wave systems in which the IC and the aperture are developed together. Being fabless, we select the process technology according to the needs of each programme.

Technologies

  • SiGe BiCMOS — high-fT/fmax devices for K/Ka/E/W-band gain and power stages.
  • Bulk CMOS — dense, low-cost beamforming and control for large arrays.
  • FD-SOI — body-bias tuning and improved isolation for reconfigurable front-ends.

Blocks

  • Beamforming ICs — vector-modulator and switched-line phase/amplitude control.
  • Transmit/receive front-ends — LNA, PA, T/R switching.
  • Phase shifters and true-time-delay elements.
  • Frequency generation and conversion for the front-end chain.
